🌳 The Faithful Doe and the Hungry Tiger 🐅

While grazing in a thick forest, a doe unknowingly wandered away from her herd.
She roamed here and there, trying to find her way back home. Suddenly, a hungry tiger spotted her from behind the bushes.

The tiger crouched low, ready to pounce. The poor doe trembled with fear. But more than her own life, she worried about her
little calf waiting for her back home. Gathering courage, she said,
“O mighty tiger, I know you are hungry. But please, let me go home just once. My little one hasn’t eaten since morning.
I will feed him and come back to you. I promise on my own life.”
The tiger laughed cruelly. “You think I’m a fool? If I let you go, you will never return.”
But the doe pleaded sincerely. Her eyes were filled with tears, and her voice was full of truth.
After much persuasion, the tiger finally said,
“Alright. I will wait till the sun sets. If you don’t return by then, I will consider you a liar.”
The doe thanked the tiger and hurried home. Her calf leapt with joy on seeing her.
The doe fed him milk and licked him lovingly, tears falling down her face.

When the calf asked why she was crying, she said softly,
“My dear child, I made a promise to a tiger. I must go back to keep my word.”
The calf cried and said, “No, Mother! Please don’t go! The tiger will kill you!”
But the doe was determined.
“A promise once made must never be broken. Truth and faith are greater than life itself.”

With a heavy heart, she kissed her calf one last time and walked back toward the forest.
The tiger was astonished to see her return.
“You actually came back! I never thought you would keep your word.”
The doe bowed her head and said,
“I gave my word, and I must honor it. You may eat me now.”
The tiger was deeply moved by her honesty and courage.
“You are noble and pure-hearted,” he said. “I cannot kill such a truthful soul. Go, live happily with your calf.”

From that day, the tiger and the doe became friends, and the tiger never hunted near her home again.
🌿 Moral of the Story:
